In the mid nineties she turned a passion for training and competing event horses into a viable business and was able to enjoy owning and training one then two beautiful German Shepherd girls. Seeking professional training with one of these dogs exposed traditional coercive methods which caused huge behaviuor problems, and more recent classes with her first rescue dog were well meaning but crowded and stressfull.
Finally discovering classes at ICC and with Paddy Driscoll that created positive motivation and rewards for pet and competition dogs, she quickly wanted to use her teaching and business experience in the dog world too.
Wendy holds various professional qualifications as a trainer and judge in the equestrian field and also has a full CRB check, first aid and child protection training. She has many years experience of training and coaching in the business world.
Her life is shared with husband Graham and two brilliant rescue dogs. Mattie is an official "Staffiedor" ( Staffie x Lab )and loves all training, especially her agility and competitive obedience work. Tall handsome Jason is her Lurcher friend who at 15 months enjoys all training and especially anything involving chasing things ! Both come with various behaviour problems that make this an area of particular interest and specialization.
